Welcome to the Green Pedometer

Can a hopelessly out-of-shape grandmother find fitness? This is the big question. My marathon running daughter keeps trying to encourage me. Her latest gifts to me include a running shirt and a green pedometer. Will I be ready to walk a 5K in less than 2 months? Stay tuned and find out.

Bee Propolis and Royal Jelly

You know how things always happen in the beauty shop?   You find out stuff you would otherwise never know?   Well, I was in the beauty shop and a friend brought another client over to introduce her to me.  Turns out she works with my husband.   Of course, I regret meeting one of his colleagues while my hair is sopping wet and I am swaddled in a towel from the neck down with no make up.   And I didn't have my glasses on, so she was a blurry form in my field of vision.   But very sweet.   After she left, my hairdresser asked my friend how much weight this lady had lost and it was significant.  What did she do?  Of course my hypothyroid hairdresser voiced the question we were all wondering about.  "Bee pollen".   That was the answer.
So......I came home and told my hub and he asked said employee about her weight loss and she confirmed the bee pollen thing.   Nearly broke my fingers typing fast as I could to pull up Vitacost.com and get my bee pollen.   When I ordered it, I noticed a box in the corner of the screen that said "People who ordered this, also ordered this".   Picture of a bottle of Royal Jelly capsules.   Royal jelly?   Isn't that what the Queen Bee feeds those worker bees?    I WANT TO BE A WORKER BEE!   So I also ordered royal jelly.   Threw down all of twenty bucks for the two of them.
A few days ago my order arrived.   I have been taking royal jelly and bee propolis and cleaning my house ever since.   No, I haven't lost any weight.   But I have cleaned my pantry, my kitchen, my dining room, the living room, and a bathroom.  I have taken several loads of stuff to Goodwill and made several runs to the dump.
Believe in the Bees!!!!

To Gym, or Not To Gym......

I continue to suffer with a weakened immune system and a lymph system that does not drain.   My doc has given me 12 suggestions to follow to build a healthy immune system and get my lymph nodes to start draining.   I am gung ho already on 11 of the items.   But, oh that 12th.....exercise.......the dreaded "e" word.  *sigh*
I lack discipline.
And I wonder......if I shelled out the bucks to join a gym.....would that make me go?   A longtime tightwad, I suspect I would want to get my money's worth.
Or would I???????
